PVC/PCW - polyvinyl chloride
… i.e. a synthetic polymer used to produce synthetic materials. The name PVC refers both to pure polymer and to a synthetic material which, apart from polymer, contains motificators and fillers. Therefore, it has construction possibilities. It is characterised by excellent dielectrical properties and has much chemical and mechanical resistance.
Non-plastified PVC is mostly used for the production of pipes (sewage), containers, plates, roof tiles, disposable syringes. Soft PVC: cable insulations, shoe soles, synthetic leather, floor coverings, car floor coverings, wallpapers, garden foils and hoses, a wide range of medicinal products. And in fact, it is only human imagination that limits the use of PVC in proactice.
